WWPT Rivers a Royal Flush

An absolute brilliant night of poker tonight in our WWPT with the most insane hand this year to date!
22 players showed up tonight on to fight it out for a share of $2340.  With a total of 23 rebuys and 20 addons 1st prize was over $1000!

1st $1055
2nd $655
3rd $400
4th $235

Tonight had its share of bad beats!  We had Morgan with K 10 up against Vinnie with K 8, both players all in and a 30k plus pot, flop came 5 Q K, turns a 2 and you guessed it, the river an 8!

However the hand of the night had to go to Sam who was all in up against Daz, Sam with Ad Kd and Daz with Ah Kh, both looking at a chop, the flop comes 3h Qh 10d, turns a 6h, both with a flush draw and the river comes and its a Jd giving Sam a Royal Flush and a monster pot of just under 60k, unlucky Daz!

Final table and our bubble again went Noel who again left his lucky socks at home.  Noel had K Q up against Hayden with 7 7, Hayden even hit trips on the river as well.

Forced to shove Vinnie goes all in with whats left in front of him with 10 10, Hayden calls with J 5, flop comes 9 7 J, turns an A and river a K, Haydens J good enough and Vinnie out in 4th place taking away $235.

Next hand and Jordy has A 9 and raises and gets a call from Hayden with K 4, flop comes 9 K 6, Jordy shoves all in and Hayden calls, turns an 8 and river a 7 and Jordy is out in 3rd place taking away $400.

Heads up and Hayden is now the big stack and Sam well below 50% in his stack, Sam then shoves with K 5 and Hayden snap calls with A J, flop comes 2 5 A, turns an 8 and river a 7 and Sam is out in 2nd taking away $655 for 2nd and of course Hayden taking out the WWPT and $1055 for a nights work.

Remember this Saturday the 2nd of June at 1pm is our Deep Stack Freeze out Tournament.  $300 buy in and 20,000 starting stack!

Fantastic night of poker again here at Dunedin Casino!

Wednesday "Flipping Forty"

A great night at Dunedin Casino poker with a new tournament layout making some interesting changes, A new $40 buy-in with Unlimited rebuys and a single addon at the break all for 4K chips, with only 20 players showing up for the night the total prize pool was surprising.
Total prize pool reaching $2124 with a total of 17 addons and 22 Rebuys,
1st: $960
2nd: $595
3rd: $360
4th: $210

The night started a little bit slow with players trickling in through out the rebuy period  but picked up pace fast as we approached final table with a few multi knockouts.

The bubble was an all in with Aaron and Greg, Aaron holding K 5 and Greg with A K the flop came 3 7 10 the turn comes in the form of an 8 the river was another 10 putting Gregs A K as the winning hand with A high.

We then had a All-in push quickly after with Martin and Josh, Martin holding a monster J J vs Josh with a decent hand himself A Q, the fun was short lived for Martin when then flop came Q Q K, with a decreasing amount of outs for Martin the Turn came 7 followed by the river 9 giving Josh the winning hand trip Qs, Martin finished 4th overall taking away $210.

The next hand was not so action packed as the last with Josh KK and Greg A 7, Flop 5 6 J Turn 9 and river 2, with the kings on fine form winning the hand with no trouble sending Greg home with $360.

After Hau and Josh decided on a chop the final hand came down to a flip til no stack remained, Flop came down J 4 9 Josh flipping over a 5 and Hau a 2 Turn 10 no one shows and the river an A Hau turns his last card a 2 making his hand pocket 2s Josh hoping to hit any of the board almost rubbed the paint off his J giving him J 5 and the winning hand with a pair of jacks lucky for Josh his stack was just bigger than Hau sending Hau home 2nd with $700.

And to the victor goes the spoils as josh leaves with $855.
Another fun night of poker tonight.

✿✿✿ANZAC Day Terminator Tournament✿✿✿

We had 18 players show up this ANZAC Day all playing for their share of a $1700 pot. With bounties in play, the competition was fierce.

The top three were paid. They were Kirby M, Gary T and Jayden H.

Flop of K-Q-J came up, Kirby shoved all-in with K-9. Jayden called and had flopped the nuts with 10-A and with only a 4 and 3 showing on the rest of the board, there was nothing to save Kirby. She still took out 3rd place and managed to get a bounty not long beforehand as well.

Gary was the next to strike. He managed to double-up with K-K against Q-Q, but it was all over when he went all-in with K-9 pre-flop. Jayden called with Q-A. Board was 5-A-7-Q-Q so Jayden rivered the boat and took out the tournament along with 3 bounties.

Congratulations to our winners and watch this space to learn about our new up and coming Wednesday tournament.

No Problemo For Tonight's Terminator Winner!

Another fun action packed night of poker as usual at Dunedin Casino.  We had 17 starters tonight with 44 Addons and 36 Rebuys making a total prize pool of $1547 plus another $425 in bounty's.

Tonight paid the top 3 places, 1st $775, 2nd $465 and 3rd $310

Hand of the night had to go to Hao who calls an all in with 7 2 up against Jeremy P with K 2, flop comes K 2 10, Jeremy well ahead and Hao around a 3% chance, turns a 7 and river another 7 giving Hao a boat and hand of the night.  Who says 7 2 is no good?

Kama eventually came back to haunt Hao when he peeps at A A and shoves and gets a caller from Simon who has K K, flop comes 10 2 4, turns another 2 and the river a K!  Aces cracked again for the night, and Hao was out in around 13th.

Final table and we had a massive 3 way all in preflop with Greg with K 4, Daniel with As Qs and Jermey P with A K, flop comes 3s 5s 7, turns a 4 and unfortunately for Greg the river a Js giving Daniel the nut flush and a double knock out taking 2 bounty's.

A few hands later and again a big 3 way all in, this time Martin with K 10 up against Hayden with J J and Chris R with A 5, flop comes 9 9 Q, turns a 2 and river a 3, Martin out in 5th.

Down to the final 4 and tonight's bubble!  We had Josh with 10 10 up against Hayden with J J, flop comes 8 3 5, turns a 6 and river a 10!  Josh hitting trips on the river and Hayden our bubble tonight taking away 2 bounty's.

final 3 and Chris has Qs 8s and pushes, Daniel calls with A Q, flop comes 3 2 2, turns a 3 and river a J, Chris out in 3rd taking away $310 for 3rd and also 4 bounty's.

Heads up and Josh and Daniel play for around an hour!  They decide to do a deal both taking $500 each and leaving $240 cash, a photo and of course the title of Wednesday night Terminator Champion to play for.  Finally the final hand
comes and Josh has A 2 and shoves, Daniel calls with 8 8, flop comes Q K 10, turns a 10 and river a 4, Josh out in 2nd taking $500 for his deal and taking 2 bounty's as well.

Tonight's winner Daniel taking away $740 for his 1st place and taking 5 bounty's away as well.  That's a total of $865 for his night.

Another great night of Poker at Dunedin Casino.

Frantic Start to Wednesday Night Terminator

Tonight's Terminator Bounty tournament started with a hiss and a roar, true to form no one turned up early but all 16 players arrived right on 7.45pm and we were away.

16 players and we had a total of 41 rebuys and 44 addon's making tonights total prize pool of $1621 plus another $400 in bounty's.  Tonight's action paid to the top 3 places.

1st $811
2nd $485
3rd $325

Right away we had a massive 4 way all in, we had Roger with K K, Mok with 5d 6d, Chris T with A A and Chris R with A K, everyone's all in and flop comes Q 8 9, turns a 10 and rivers a 7, Mok taking down a massive pot with a straight.

11 players remaining and to break it down to one table we had Adam with K K moving all in against Mok who show's A A, nothing fell and Adam out before final table.

Tonight's bubble went to Chris K who was slightly short stacked and moves in with A 10, Hayden sees 6h 9h and calls, flop comes 2 K K, turns a 6 and river an 8.

Gary and Mok then go head to head, Gary with with only 27k moves all in with Q 6, Mok calls on big blind for an extra 11k, flop comes A 10 A, turns a K and rivers a 10, Mok's 5 4 no good and Gary doubles up.

Next hand and again its Gary and Mok, this time Mok has J Q and Gary 7 7, flop comes 5 10 8, turns a 3 and rivers a 6.  Gary again doubles up.

2 hands later and again it was Gary and Mok, and again Gary wins the battle, this time with J 6 and Mok has A 4, flop comes 6 5 J, turns a K and river a 2, Mok out in 3rd taking $325 plus $50 in bounty's.

Heads up and both Gary and Hayden do a deal, both taking $600 each and playing for $96 and the title of Terminator!

Final hand and Gary has Q 3, Hayden has A 3, flop comes 6 5 J, turns a K and river a 2, Hayden out in 2nd taking $600 plus another $150 for his 6 bounty's.  Gary taking $696 for 1st and another $125 for his bounty's.

Another great night of poker.

Tonights Terminator Winner Just Wouldn't Die!

Tonight's action started with only 12 players spread evenly across 2 tables, even with this many players we still had 28 Rebuys and 29 Addons making tonight's total prize pool of $1101 plus another $300 in bounties.

1st prize tonight was $551, 2nd $330 and paying to 3rd paying $220.

Right away we had some great hands, Chris R flopping Quad Aces early in the tournament and we had Andrew flopping an open ended straight flush only to get run down runner runner by another flush!

Final table and we had a huge 3 way all in with Hayden with Q 8 up against Des with J 9 and Noel with J J, flop comes 7 10 2, turns a K and river an 8, Des rivering a straight and Hayden out in 5th place.

Bubble tonight went to Martin who on the small blind moves all in, Kirby in the big blind looks at A 5 and calls.  Martin never looked at his cards but has 9 3, flop comes J 10 K, turns a 5 and river a 3, Kirby taking the pot and Martin's bounty with a pair of 5s.

Next hand we had Des and Noel all in against each other.  How Des was still in the tournament I don't know?  Des had 2.5k left earlier which was just enough for a 500 ante and a 2k small blind!  From this he battled and grinded his way back to have 45k, which was exactly what Noel had.  Noel looks at A 4 and pushes all in, Des looks at A J and calls, flop comes J 3 10, turns a K and river a 3, Noel out in 3rd place taking away $220.

Heads up and we had Kirby up against Des who just refused to die.  Both decide to do a deal taking $400 each and playing for the remaining $81 and the Wednesday night Terminator Title and Photo!

Final hand and blinds are 8k/16k, Des on small blind just calls and Kirby
bets no harder.  Flop comes Q A 3, Kirby moves all in, Des looks at Q 5 and thinks for a long time and finally calls, Kirby shows 2 3, turns a 7 and river a 6, Kirby out in 2nd place taking $400 and $75 in bounty's.

Des from under 1 big blind comes back to win the Tournament taking away $481 plus another $175 in bounty's.

Terminator Says "See ya Latta"

Another great night of poker with a huge week in Dunedin with Ed Sheeran playing later this week and the short week with Otago Anniversery day on Monday and the long Easter Weekend comming up.  Still we had 17 loyal eager players making the effort to battle it out for our Wednesday Night Terminator Bounty Tournament.

17 players rocked up tonight to battle it out for a total prize pool of  $1513 plus another $425 in bounty's.  This included 36 Rebuys and a massive 42 Addons.

Top 3 places paid tonight with 1st paying $755, 2nd $455 and 3rd $305.  Not a bad pay day for 17 entries.

Straight after the rebuy period and players were dropping like flys.  Bubble tonight went to Mok who was knocked out by Chris R.  Mok looks at 8c 9c and shoves, Chris looks at A A and shoves all in and Mok calls, flop comes 10 10 3, turns a 5 and river an 8 and Mok out in 4th but takes 2 bounties for his effort.

Finally 3 we had Chris, Gary and Noel who again for the 2nd time missed the bubble position.  Leaving in 3rd place we had Chris with J 7 up against Gary with K Q, flop comes 3 3 K, turns an A and river a J, Chris out in 3rd taking away $305 plus another $50 for his 2 bounties.

Heads up and Gary and Noel do a deal both taking away $550 each leaving $110 plus one bounty to play for.  And they both wanted the extra cash as this heads up game went on for about 25 minutes.

Final hand and Gary was forced all in with just one big blind having been crippled by Noel in the previous hand.  Gary had 10 8 up against Noel with K Q, flop comes A Q A, turns a 6 and river a 5, Gary out in 2nd taking his $550 plus another $75 for his 3 bounties, Noel taking out one bounty for the whole tournament but the only one he needed.  Noel takes $660 plus $50 for his kill and his own bounty.

♠♥♣♦ Pocket Rockets Bring Home the Bounty ♠♥♣♦

We had 18 players turn up for this month's Deepstack Tournament. The Terminator 300. With a prizepool of over 3k and Bounties of $100 up for grabs, the competition was fierce.

Aggressive play saw some early knock-outs. One hand in particular saw Gary all-in with KK with two callers, both holding AA. Though it didn't look great for Gary, he flopped the set tripling his stack and seeing him to the final table.

The final four left in the tournament were Mok H, Chris R, Aaron M and Noel L.

Chris went all-in with Q-2(h). He had two callers; Mok with A-K(s), and Aaron with A-6(h). Board of K-J-9-5-J and all flush draws dead saw Mok's two-pair take the pot, and Chris bubbling.

Next hand to do some damage was a board of Q-Q-2-Q-5 between

Noel and Aaron. Quietly checking the turn, Aaron shoved on the river with a confident K-K, however Noel threw down Q-4. Finally Noel claims his first Bounty and Aaron walked away with 3rd place.

The last hand (the first hand of the new dealer) saw Mok going all-in with K-Q. Noel called and showed pocket A's. Board 4-10-2-10-2 left very little for Mok, but awarded Noel the pot, another Bounty and of course the win. A quiet achiever throughout the tournament, but he brought it home in the end. Congratulations.

Watch this space to see when our up-and-coming tournaments are and we'll see you on Wednesday for the weekly Terminator Tournament.

Wednesday Night Terminator Royal Flush

Tonight we had 24 players show up with some crazy action including Gary T taking down a big pot turning a Royal Flush.

There was rebuy after rebuy with some very aggressive all ins on most tables.  All up there was a massive 67 rebuys and 65 addons making tonight's total prize pool $2508 plus another $600 in bounty's up for grabs.  This made for a great 1st prize of $1133, 2nd $700, 3rd $425 and paying to 4th taking $250.

Royal Flush hand, we had Gary T with Ah, Kh up against Norman with A 3d, both all in preflop and flop comes Jh 10h 2, turn was a Qh giving Gary a Royal Flush!

Final table and right away we had a huge 3 way all in with Gary holding 10 10 up against Geoff with 4 5 and Greg F with A A, Flop comes A J 8, turns a 2 and river an 8, Gary out in 7th and Geoff in 8th, Greg taking over 120k in chips plus 2 bounty's.

Out in 4th place taking away $250 was Greg F with 7 7 up against Andrew with A A, nothing fell and Andrew taking away a size able pot and another bounty.

Final 3 players were all very similar chip stacks decide to do a deal each taking away $600 each and leaving $283 for the winner.  Chris R with K 3 up against new comer Ian with 8 9, flop comes Q 6 5, turns a K and river a J knocking Ian out in 3rd and Chris taking a bounty.

Final 2 playing for $283 and Chris goes all in with A 10 up against Andrew with K 2, flop comes 3 Q A, turns a Q and river a 6 making Chris's A good enough to take another bounty and over all win.  Andrew leaving with $600 and another $100 for his 4 bounty's.

Chris R taking out the Wednesday Terminator Tourney plus another $125 in bounty's.

Another great night of poker before our first $300 Terminator Tourney starting at 1pm this Sunday.

2 In a Rowe For Terminator

Wednesday night and it was an exciting fun night again for the players that showed up for our Terminator Bounty Tournament.

Numbers were down tonight due to a lot of players travelling to Christchurch for the 2018 Wellington Poker Champs played this year at Christchurch Casino.

Right away tonight we had 16 money thirsty players battling it out for a share of $1468 plus another $400 in bounties up for grabs.  Even with 16 players we still had 29 rebuys and a massive 47 Addons.

Tonight we paid the top 3 places with $735 for 1st, $440 for 2nd and $295 for 3rd place.

We were down to the final table pretty quickly after the break with some real aggressive play from both the tables in play.  Out in 5th place was Jacob in a massive 3 way all in with J J up against Hayden with A Q and Chris S with K K, flop comes 5 4 A, turns a 10 and river a 9 adding another bounty to Hayden.

Tonight's bubble in 4th place went to Martin with K 8 up against Chris S with J 10, flop comes 9 5 3, turns an A and river a J!  Martin rivered and out in 4th.

Last 3 players and Chris was short stacked against Greg and Hayden, he looks at K 3 and shoves, Greg calls with J 8, flop comes 8 3 2, turns a 10 and river a 10, Chris out in 3rd place but still taking away $295 for 3rd place plus 5 bounties for the night.

Heads up and Greg was up by about 30% over Hayden's chip stack, however Hayden puts on the pressure and battled back to take the advantage, then final hand Greg shoves with A 3 and Hayden calls quickly with 8 8, turn comes Q K 10, turns an 8 giving Hayden trips and river a 2.  New comer Greg taking away $440 for 2nd place plus another $100 in bounty's.  Hayden taking a brilliant win taking $735 for 1st and $75 in bounty's.

Another action packed night of poker!

Don't forget Terminator 300 on Sunday 25th March starting at 1pm.

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

Hey - DONE!

Nineteen players ventured forth to compete in tonight's Wednesday Terminator.
41 rebuys and 47 add-ons took the prizepool to a tasty $1705 with a further $475 up for grabs in bounties.

1st - $770
2nd - $475
3rd - $290
4th - $170
Bounties - $475

Action was thick and fast before slowing up a bit on the final table as players jockeyed for position. At the bubble the pressure was on Noel as the short stack and he managed to double up with J2 offsuit. Hayden quickly had his revenge though as Noel's QJhh ran into Hayden's KK. The flop brought Noel some hope with QT3 giving him top pair. However running 8s were no further help and Noel racked up yet another bubble.
In the cash and the short stacks had licence to shove. Chris looked to pick up some chips from the SB, shoving his T7off into Josh's small stack. Josh however was not in the mood to fold his BB and called with J8. To the flop of QT3, which gave Chris the lead with a pair, and after a couple of bricks, Josh's bounty. Josh out in 4th.
The next big hand came when Sheldon raised from a healthy stack with KQ, Chris then shoved with A3 which Sheldon then called. When the flop came A73 Chris had a mortal lock on the hand with his Aces up, and won huge pot of over 120k. Crippled from the previous hand Sheldon found himself all in with 72 against Heyden's pocket 2s. They say twos never lose, and so it proved when the turn brought the case 2 to give Heyden a set and Sheldon was drawing dead, out in 3rd.
Heads up was a fairly brief affair with both players being dealt pocket pairs and putting all the chips in. Heyden with 44 and Chris an 81% favourite with 99. But nothing seemed to be able to stop Heyden tonight and a 4 in the window flipped those percentages. Chris had a backdoor straight draw to go with his higher set draw, but not tonight. Heyden taking down the pot, the tourney and $770 for 1st. With his eleven bounties(more than half the field), This took his total winnings to over a grand for the night. Well done Heyden, Great effort!

Josh does the Riverdance!!!

Another Terminator tourney done and dusted, to finish of February.  'Twas a reasonably casual affair with 17 runners and a total prize pool of $1530NZD with an additional $425NZD in bounties.

With four players left it was really a game of twists and turns to make it into the money (3 places paid).  If you had a '2' in your hand it seemed to hold, and the 'River' was making a strong presence at showdown.

Danny W. ended up with the bubble when Andrew A. on 67K shoved preflop with 55.  Called by Danny first (35K) with 99, then by Chris R. with AK and 55K in chips.  The board is 6-A-2-8-4 and a pair of aces holds. Danny is gone and leaving Andrew a minor stack.

Andrew makes a valiant chip comeback until he shoves preflop with J9 and Chris R calls with K5 and rivers a K leaving Andrew $305 better off and the heads up action begins.

A pure ding-dong battle ensues with usually the weaker hand holding up and chip stacks become very equal.  Josh B shoves all-in with 67 suited and is promptly called by Chris R's AK.  The flop comes down as J-3-2 helping noone.  Turn's a null 9 and Chris R is confident of a big pot win....  Boom, 6 hits on the river and Josh B has just has it covered, dancing home happily with the title and $765 for the win and another $125 in bounties.

Well done Josh.

Martin Terminates Opposition taking 7 Bounty's and Bluff of The Night!

Tonight in our Terminator bounty tournament we had a massive 38 rebuys and a astonishing 58 addons!  20 players showed up early as per usual to battle it out for a grand total of $2352 including $500 in bounty's.

1st $835
2nd $520
3rd $315
4th $185

Even though we only had 2 tables in action we had rebuy after rebuy right away.

Down to the final table and  out in 6th place was Pete with a massive 3 way all in.  We had Martin with Q Q up against Pete with A 7 and Daz J with A K, flop comes 8 8 9, turns a 4 and rivers a 9, Martin taking down a huge pot at this stage with his queens.

Our bubble tonight went to Daz J who was up again in a 3 way all in, up against Chris H with Ac Jc and Gary with A Q,  flop comes A 4c Kc, turns a 2 and rivers a 10c giving Chris H a massive pot again with the nut flush, Daz J still taking away $25 for his one bounty.

Final 4 players just shared the chips for about 40 minutes with the lead changing every hand.  Deciding hand and bluff of the night had to go to Martin who was up against Chris H, blinds were 4k 8k and flop comes 8 2 K, turns a 2 and Chris H bets 20k, Martin pauses and pushes all in, Chris folds and Martin shows a lonely 3 and steels a 30k plus pot.

After that Chris was all in every hand and eventually gets called with J 4 by Gary with A 7, flop comes A 10 J, turns a 9 and river a 5 and Chris was out in 4th taking away $185 plus $100 for his 4 bounty's.

Next hand Gary's all in with 7 7 and Josh calls with 10 10, flop comes Q A 4, turns a 5 and river a 3, Gary out in 3rd place taking away $314 plus another $100 for his bounty's.

Heads up and final hand, both players deciding to chop 1st and 2nd prize taking $650 each and playing for the remaining $55, Martin has 10 6 and Josh J 5, one hand only and flop comes K 5 7, turns an A and rivers a 6.  Josh out in 2nd taking $650 and 3 bounty's.  Martin tonights winner taking 7 bounty's as well as his $705 for 1st place.

Hasta la vista, baby

We had 19 people show up for this weeks Wednesday Terminator Tournament, all geared up to win their share of the $1600 prizepool and as many bounties as they could.

We had four on the final table; Chris S, Mok H, Hayden R and Noel L.

Shum shoved pre-flop with J-J, Hayden called with J-A. Board was 5-2-4-7-A. Hayden rivered top pair and knocked Shum out, leaving him with 4th place and one bounty top cash out.

Next to seal their fate was Mok. All-in after the flop with 6-7(c) chasing the club flush. Hayden called with Q-2. No more clubs came up and Hayden's 2-pair held, adding another bounty to his already decent collection.

Shortly after, Hayden shoved pre-flop with J-2(h). Noel called with A-5. Board came out 7-10-7-2-Q and it was the 2-pair again that gave Hayden the win. Noel still got to take away 2nd place and a couple of bounties.

Hayden had and impressive 10 bounties. Congratz

Terminator Shum Totally Annihilates Competition With No Mercy!

It was a total one horse race tonight with Chris absoultely dominating the competition right from the start, his only head ache was, "Do i need to addon"?

What a night of poker, with our 2nd Terminator Bounty tournament of the year we had 24 players show up to battle it out.  With 63 addons and 65 rebuys this added for a prize pool of $2440 plus another $600 in bounty's.  That's a total of $3040 all up!

1st prize $1100, 2nd $685, 3rd $415 and tonight we paid to 4th for $245 and lets not forget the $600 for bounty's up for grabs.

A big special thank you has to go out to all our regular poker players who each week show up to play.  Chris R, Gary, Noel, Danny, Hayden, Josh, Chris S, Greg and more.

We had 3 tables of 8 in action most of the night all with very similar chip counts and rebuys and addons, Chip leader from the start was of course Chris who double rebuyed at the start and went  from there.

Final table and out in our favourite bubble position to give Noel a break was Hayden who had K Q and shoved, Chris S calls with 8 2.  Flop comes and Chris hits 2 pair on the flop and it was over, Hayden out in 5th place.

Next to go was Nick who pushed with 10 10, Chris calls with A 5 and catches an A on the flop and Nick was gone in 4th place taking away $245 for his effort and not taking a single bounty.

By this time Chris pretty much had over 90% of the chips.  Gary sees K 10 and pushes, Chris sees A 9 and calls, flop comes 7 A 2, turns a 4 and river a 3, Gary out in 3rd place taking away $415 plus another $125 for his 5 bounty's.  That's a total of  $640 for his night.

Very next hand and Chris was all in again with A 2, Matt with K 8, flop comes 2 10 10, turns a 5 and river a 9, Matt out in 2nd place without taking a single bounty on his journey but still takes away $685 for his effort.

1st prize went to Chris taking away $1100 for first place plus another $300 for his 12 bounty's.  Thats a total of $1400 for his night.

Full Blue Super Moon Signals The Return Of The Terminator

It was a slow start to our first Terminator Bounty Tournament since November with only 14 starters, but with 33 Rebuys and 42 Addons we still had a grand prize pool of $1429 plus another $350 in bounty's up for grabs.

31st of January also saw a Super Blue Moon which could explain some extremely aggressive play from a lot of our players.

1st prize tonight was $715, 2nd $430 and 3rd paying $285.

Biggest pot tonight was on the final table with a 3 way all in with Phil short stacked going all in with K 3h, Aggressive player Chris H pushes all in with over 46K with Q 2s, and Chris R calls with A Qh, flop comes 4 As 6s, turns a 3c and rivers a 9s and Chris H wins a monster pot with over 100K in the pot with a flush on the river and cuts back Chris R's chip lead.

Tonights bubble went to Noel who pushed all in with K 3, again Chris H calls with K Q and Gary moves in with A 7, flop comes 5 J 7, turns a 6 and river another J making Gary's 7 good enough for another big pot and Noel out in 4th place.

Down to our final 3 with all 3 players with about $70K each.  With blinds up to 6K/12K Chris H pushes all in with 5 8, Chris R sees one A and calls, flop comes 8 K 5, Chris H hitting 2 pair right away, turns a 7 and river a Q, Chris R out in 3rd place taking away $25 for one bounty and $285 for 3rd place.

Heads up and Chris H slightly ahead of Gary in the chip count, Gary shoves with J 7 and Chris calls with A 7, flop comes 5 6 2, turns a 9 and river an A knocking Gary out in 2nd place taking away $430 plus $75 for 3 bounty's.

Chris H with his aggressive play takes out our 1st Terminator Tournament of the year taking away $715 for 1st prize and $200 for taking 8 bounty's.

Casino Cube Champion Corey Conquers Competition

Today we ran the special $100 Cubed Deepstack Tournament and had 19 runners and 1 re-entry. With a further 27 rebuys and addons the prizepool was a tasty $4230.

Top 4 places were paid meaning first prize was just short of $2000.

The final table was Brodie, Chris H, Corey H, Danny W, Gary T, Ketch,  Mark N, Noel L and Vinnie.

First out was Mark who got his AQ in against Vinnie's KK. A King on the turn sealed Marks fate and we were down to 8.

Soon after, Noel shoved the river on a board with two 6s and mucked his hand quickly when Chris called and turned over A6.

Our short stack Brodie was next to go when he went all in blind with T4 and couldn't suck out against the AQ of Chris.

In 6th place was Vinnie who got his KJ in against Corey's 9T suited. A Jack on the flop wasn't enough with Corey flopping a straight and an open ended straight flush draw. A King on the turn improved his hand but Corey took down the pot.

The bubble boy today was Gary T who was short stacked and shoved A2 into Chris's pocket 8s. There was a 2 on the flop for a small sweat that didn't amount to anything and suddenly we were in the money!

Shortly after getting in the money Corey shoved 72 from the small blind. Ketch called from the big blind with AT and was rewarded with an Ace in the window. However a 7 on the flop put everyone on edge and the 2 on the turn didn't come as too much of a surprise. Corey had him covered and Ketch was out taking home $420.

Next out was Danny who shoved K8 and was called by Corey with 67. The flop came 789 of hearts and Corey wasn't in too bad a shape with his 6 of hearts and Danny having only black cards. An off suit 9 on the turn didn't help but a King of hearts on the river gave Danny a second of celebration before realizing Corey had hit his flush. Corey's good luck continued and Danny was sent home with $715 for his troubles.

Heads up between Chris and Corey was going slowly until Corey shoved his T7 on the river of a 73A3T board when he misread the board and didn't realize he was losing to any Ace. Chris seemed to be confused by Corey's actions and hero called but mucked his hand after Corey's accidental bluff turned out to be the best hand.

Chris was left with less than big blind and so was all in with K7 against Corey's J7. Being dominated didn't worry Corey and a Jack on the river ended the tournament.

Chris took home $1180 and our winner Corey received $1915.

Danny's Big Come Back

Tonight's action was short on players but big on spirit with a very fun night of poker.   We had only 10 players on the one table right up to the  break but those 10 players were all regulars and ready for action.  Also with only 13 players all together showing up 1st prize still came to $835, 2nd $500 and tonight only paying to 3rd, taking home $335.

13 Starters and 24 rebuys/addons tonight still had a total prize pool of $1665 to play for.

Most the action happened on the final table and Tumua was our man to beat running hot with a sizable chip stack.  However one of the top hands of the night had a 3 way all in.  Tumua K Q up against Danny with A J and Josh with Q Q, flop comes 9 8 7, turns a 4 and rivers a J, Tumua out in 5th place in the end and Josh tripling up and Danny left with only around 3 big blinds left.

Final 4 players played for around 45 minutes with no knock outs, then finally when blinds were up to 6K/12K Noel goes all in blind, Danny calls with 6 9, flop comes 9 3 3, turns a J and rivers a 4, Danny catching a 9, Noel flips his cards showing 7 2!  Noel out in 4th place in the bubble position taking away a brand new pair of Dunedin Casino socks for his effort!

Blinds were now 8K/16K with 2K antes so Josh shoves with A 2, Ross calls holding A Q, flop comes 10 3 J, turns a 5 and river a K, Josh out in 3rd taking away $335 for his efforts.

Final 2 and it was a show down, Ross up against Danny who only had 3 big blinds earlier.  Back and forth the action went until Ross was finally forced to shove with only 2 blinds left with 10 5d, Danny calling with A Q, flop comes 9 J 5, turns a Q and river a 7 knocking Ross out in 2nd place taking away $500 and Danny after only having 3 big blinds left grinds back from the dead to win the whole tournament and taking away $835.

A fantastic energetic night considering the numbers.

This Saturday 27th January at 1pm we have our $100 Cubed tournament too!

19 Players started tonight and we still had a grand total prize pool of $2205 to play for.  With 29 Rebuy/Addons taken, 1st prize came to $995, 2nd $615, 3rd, $375 and 4th place $220.

With a lot of action right after the break we were down to the final table by just after 10pm.  Tonight's bubble went to Chris H who was the final table chip leader, but 2 hands later he was all in with QT up against Tumua with AJ.  Flop comes 5-5-7, turn's an 8 and river's a K making Tumua's A good enough.

Next to go was Andrew with A8 who went all in, again Tumua calling with Ac4c.  Flop comes Qc-Jc-8, turn's a 6 and the river's a 2c giving Tumua a flush, sending Andrew out in 4th with $220.

A few hands later Gary who was getting short stacked and  pushes in with J7.  Again the caller was Tumua with 64s.  Flop comes 6-7-2, turns a 9 and river a 4 giving Tumua 2 pair and Gary out in 3rd place taking away $375.

Heads up with Danny and Tumua fighting it out for almost 40 minutes.  Danny severely short stacked battled back well to almost be even with Tumua but eventually was short stacked again and forced to shove with 23o?  Tumua calling with K7, flop comes 5-K-2, turn's a J and river's another K giving Tumua trips and the win.

Danny taking away $615 for 2nd place and Tumua, last to arrive tonight and playing only 2 hands before the break takes out the last 5 players on the final table to take the win and also $995 for 1st prize.

Big Pay Day For Cube Winner

Tonights action started pretty quickly with 15 players starting right on 7.45pm then 5minutes later we had our 2 tables full with another 3 players on the waiting list.

With 23 entries in total tonight we had 39 rebuy/addons to contribute to a total prize pool of $2700.  1st prize tonight was $1215, 2nd $755, 3rd $460 and 4th place $270.

Players tonight were more aware of using the waiting list and again some players were trying to dump chips so they could re enter the tournament via the waiting list.  Noel choosing to do this just before the break deciding to push all in with 8 6, however this was to be one of his best hands of the night tripling up and in the end Noel had just shy of 10000 chips to head to the break with.

There were some great hands tonight with Kev hitting quad 4s in one of his first hands, we had plenty of action with most players choosing to play their addons and rebuys as well.

Down to the last table we had Al win a huge pot, he was all in with A A up against Noel with J J and last weeks winner Gary with A 7d, Gary hit his 7 on the flop but Al's A A was good enough to take a huge pot and Gary was out in 6th.

Bubble tonight went to Josh who went all in with A 9 up against Al with A 6, flop comes 8 6 K, turns a 5 and river a Q, unfortunately Josh with the slightly better hand out in 5th place.

Next to go was Norman who dominated the start of the final table, Norman has Q 4 and pushes all in, Noel calls with K 2, flop comes 6 K 5, turns a A and rivers a 10, Norman out in 4th taking away $270.

Final 3 decide to do a deal, each taking away $700 and leaving $330 to play for 1st.

Next to go was Greg who pushed all in with ducks (2 2)up against up against Al with queens.  Flop comes 10 4 K, turns a 7 and rivers a 5, Al's Queens good enough to take a huge pot of over 100k.  Greg out in 3rd taking away $700 for his effort.

Heads up we had Noel who for the 1st time in ages was not the bubble up against Al from Canterbury.  Still playing for $330 Noel pushes all in with 7s and Al calls with 8s!  Flop comes 2 K 4, turns a 6 and river a 2 knocking Noel out in 2nd place taking away $700 and Al taking away 1st prize which with the deal was still $1030.  Not a bad night of work for the final 3 players all taking away at least
$700.

Great night of poker again with a great prize pool tonight.  Don't forget 27th of  January we have our 1st $100 Cubed Tournament.

Straight Flush Rivers a Boat!

What a night!  Right away tonight there was action, action and more action, we had quads being flopped and boats being rivered, and a final table to be remembered for a real game of cat and mouse!

Right away we had a full 20 players filling up the available 20 seats and a total of 21 entries.  All together there was a total prize pool of $2250 with a 1st prize again over $1000.

1st $1015
2nd $630
3rd $385
4th $225

1st great hand of the night had to go to Gary who flopped quad 5s up against Danny who had a boat on the turn, Danny bets 4k, Gary pushes all in, Danny thinks long and hard and in the end calls and unfortunately is out just before the final table.

Just after this hand on the other table Ken has Q J up against Andrew with 7 8 of hearts.  Flop comes Q 10 Q, the turns a 9
and the river a J giving Ken his boat and pushes all in, however Andrew catches his straight flush and doubles up again after almost being knocked out earlier.

Down to the last table and tonights bubble went to Charlotte who pushed all in with A 7 and is called by Clem, flop comes J Q 2, turns a K and river a 5 making Clem's Q good enough.

4th place went to Clem who pushed all in with K 9 and gets called by Ken with J J, nothing fell and Clem walked away with $225.

Final 3 and it was game on, Gary, Andrew and Ken, this was a real game of cat and mouse with Ken stealing blind after blind and the other 2 set out to trap him with his aggressive play, but Ken himself was setting his own trap having good hands when being called.

Finally Gary has a good hand A 5 diamonds, Ken pushes all in with his hand and Gary after thinking calls, Ken throws over A Q (quality hand)  Flop comes 7 9 K, two of them diamonds, turns a 7d and river a 5 giving Gary his flush and taking a pot of over 92K leaving Ken with only 20K.

Next hand Ken pushes again with J 2 and Gary with the chip advantage calls with K 8, nothing falls and Ken is out in 3rd place taking away $385.

Heads up and just the 2 local boys left.  Final hand and Gary has K K, Andrew has Q J, flop comes 9 J 2, Andrew is all in and Gary calls, turns a 6 and river an 8.  Andrew returning from the dead from earlier in the night to grind back to 2nd place and take away $630.

Great play tonight by Gary using his final table chip advantage and a lot of patience to take away 1st prize of $1015.
