We had 18 Bounty-Hunters show up at Dunedin Casino today, all eager to take each other out and claim their bounty.
Just two tables running, each of them having one player striking hot and taking some early bounties. One player in particular was highly skilled in claiming the Bounty (bars that is) from just about every player on her table.
With a prize-pool of almost $3000, final four were paid. They were Gavin B, Andrew A, Dan H and Mark N.
Andrew shoved all-in after the board 6-5-A-2-5 came out. He had pockets Ks, but Mark quietly had 3-4 in his hand his straight gained him another bounty.
Mark later went all-in pre-flop with A-Q. After a bit of pondering, Dan called with A-10. Board A-3-8-4-4 meant the Q played and Mark continued his streak. Dan still left with a nice 3rd prize plus 6 bounties (2nd most bounties in the tournament).
After a wee deal, Mark pushes all-in pre-flop with A-Q again. Gavin snap-calls blind and has 2-9. With nothing on the board but a pair of 3s, A-high took it out. Game, Set and Match.
A valiant effort by Mark, leaving with his prize money plus a whopping 9 bounties.
