Weekly Wednesday Tournament: Chad The Champion!

Not bad of a turnout for the Weekly Wednesday Tournament with 21 players total.
Our top 4 places went to Brendan N, Gary T, Chad M and Greg S.

4th place goes to Gary, whose stack has been whittled down to just over a small blind. He goes all in with A4 and gets called by Greg with 99, Brendan folds but shows us 55. On the flop we get 5-9-2. Putting Greg in the lead with a set. All players mention it could have been a huge pot if Brendan had stayed until the flop... For the turn we get a 6. Gary looking for a 3 for the gutshot. Not so lucky though, a 7 on the river and Gary out on 4th.

Brendan is down to 1.5 big blinds and decides to shove. No one wants to call, so he effectively doubles up with SB and antes.

Chad goes all in with KT and Brendan calls with K5. Board comes out 2-3-4-T-A so Brendan hits the straight and doubles up again!

Few hands later Greg holding 2.5 BB shoves with 94 suited (The Peasant's favourite popping up again ...), Chad thinks quickly but calls with A4. Flop gets dealt out 5-3-5. Turn comes out a Q and river a 4. Chad busts out Greg with 2 pair, 5's and 4's, getting him with his A high kicker.

The final hand of the night, Chad goes all in with T9, Brendan sits and thinks... He calls with JT. The flop is dealt out Q-6-K. For the turn we get a 7. Final card for the tournament, out comes a J, giving Chad the straight and first place! Well done!

A reminder again, each Weekly Wednesday tournament up to and including the the tournament on the 13/07 will have tickets for a draw to win a seat to the deepstack tournament on the 16/07. Satellite Fun (1 of 3)

We had 18 people turn up to the Free-Entry Satellite Tournament. All fighting to win themselves a seat into the Winter Deepstack Bounty Tournament in July.

With 18 players, the tournament had 3 guaranteed seats for the July Deepstack to be won, and the winners were Charlotte B, Eva L, and Damien L.

If you want to get a seat to the $150 Deepstack Bounty Tournament on the 16th of July, there are two more satellites for this event, to be held on the following days:

• Thursday 30th June, and
• Thursday 14th July.

We're also giving away seats in a draw that is free to all members who play in our weekly Wednesday $30 rebuy.

Weekly Wednesday Tournament: Rob's Great Results

Our Wednesday Tournament was looking pretty measly at first, with only one player signing up by 7:30. But we managed a good total of twenty-one players and a prize pool over $2000!

The top 4 players this week are Mark N, Ben M, Rayel and Rob M.

Mark loses most of his chips when he goes all in on the flop trying to take it down, but Ben calls. The flop is 2-8-3, Mark has AK and Ben JJ. Turn comes out a 7 and river is another 7. Mark is left with $2k,

Big blind comes to Mark and he has to go all in for $1k which is less than BB. Rayel shoves but gets no more callers. Mark rolls over a 94 (a favourite of "The Peasant") and Rayel flips over KJ. ON the flop we get 6-A-T. Neither player has hit, but Rayel is in the lead. Turn is a 7. Mark is looking for a 9,8 or 4 for the win.... But nope! 3 on the river. Rayel wins with his K high. Mark out on 4th.

Ben is small stack at this point and goes all in with $11k  The other 2 players call. Ben has 99 and hits a set to treble up.

Ben mentions that he wants to win just for the photo, so he can have this one...

Rayel looks down a sees KQ, he shoves, Ben calls with 55. Flop delivers 2-8-5. Ben hits a set again and now not many outs for Rayel. Turn delivers a 9 and Rayel is dead now. 7 on the river and 3rd place for Rayel.

Final hand of the night, the flop is 8-4-7, Ben goes all in. Rob has a quick think and calls. Ben rolls over 63, gutshot straight draw is what he's looking for. Rob shows 85, Rob is ahead with his pair of 8's  and his 5 is a blocker for Ben's gutshot. Turn comes out an A, not helping Ben at all. The last card dealt in the tournament is a J... Rob takes out Ben with a pair of 8's. Well done Rob on your first win!

Free Fun for Thursday

We had 15 people turn up for the Thursday Free-to-Enter Turbo Tournament, all trying to get their share in the $400 prize pool. We had two tables for quite a while before we got to a final table.

It all came to a very quick finish, with the top four all-in pre-flop. We had Damien L, Anne Y, Sam H and Aaron M.

Damien had A3, Anne had 55, Sam had J9 and Aaron had 97. The board was 10-Q-2-3-2 so Anne (topstack) took out everyone with two-pair claiming her win with not even rebuying or adding on. Congratulations.

And a Flush for the Finish!

Started off slow in our Weekly Wednesday Tournament with 9 players showing up by 8pm.  Luckily a few more turned up and we ended up with 17 total.

Top 3 for the night were Dan H, Alex M and Reuben S.

Alex goes all in against Reuben, who is big stack and manages to double up. He tries it again holding A9 and Reuben 99.  On the board we get 4-7-K-8-4. Reuben puts Alex out on 3rd with 9's and 4's.

A few hands later, something similar happens, Dan shoves and doubles up.  The next hand Reuben goes all in with 78h and Dan calls with AQ.  The flop delivers 2-8-2, putting Reuben ahead.  3h on the turn. River is a 6h, giving Reuben a flush and 1st place.  Dan gets 2nd.  Well done guys!

Short and Sweet

We had a modest turnout for the Thursday Turbo Tournament. We had 11 entries.

The final 3 were Aaron M, Matt L and Ronnie M.

It all ended very quickly with a three-way all-in. Aaron had 99, Ronnie had J3 and Matt had 94. Board was 10-7-5-Q-4 and Aaron's pair held.

Ace Marks the Spot!

With the Classic V tournament finished up we are running a tournament on Wednesdays with a different blind structure which has proved to be popular and rebuys and add ons are $20! Not bad for a Wednesday.

21 players turned up tonight for a slice of the prize pool which fetched just under 2K. The prizes were split in to 4. Dan, Jason, Ben and Mark were the final 4 and as good as he is, Dan couldn't hold on and took away 4th prize.

Next to go was Jason. His 9 8 off was not good enough for Ben's J 8. That's because the community looked like this.. 9 5 7 J 7.

Heads up now between Ben and Mark. Chips were going back and forth like a tennis ball on a long rally run in a cup final.

When the rally was near ending mark had the bigger stack. An all in raise from Ben with Q 5 seen Mark snap call with A 7. Both standing eager to see the flop. Out comes J 2 J. With hearts now racing and anxiety creeping in we see a turn. Boom it's an A. Nothing can save Ben now and Mark is crowned the winner when a 3 is rivered.
